Far up in the High Plateaus of Peru and Argentina, our yarns were born from farming communities and villages that continue the ancient Andean tradition of creating the worlds finest fibers.  Here, herds roam freely and graze on natural vegetation, where Mother Nature's arid high altitude climate has perfected animal fibers to be durable, warm, ultra fine and naturally soft .

Our Partner

With our years of experience in design and sourcing, we ask all of the hard questions so you can have the peace of mind knowing your yarns were sourced ethically and sustainably.  We identify and only partner directly with suppliers who have a positive social impact.

Based in the Highlands of Peru, our yarn supplier provides premium quality yarns for the world's finest brands. By adhering to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and the Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) they ensure their farms use a progressive approach to managing their land, and practice holistic respect for the welfare of their herds pertaining to the Five Freedoms of animal welfare.  Their own alpaca farm is the the only private farm worldwide, up to date, that is certified organic. This certification covers the land, the animal and fiber.

Their spinning mill is the very first processing and spinning facility in Peru to achieve a Fair Trade Certification. Their environmental impact, animal welfare and their dedication to the preservation of Andean culture is at the heart of everything they do.

Naturally soft, not chemically softened.

We don't think the planet should suffer for the sake of our momentary convenience.

That is why we don't use synthetic fibers or harsh chemical treatments like Superwash (a form of bleach) to make yarns washable.  We also don't use coarse yarns and coat them in chemical resins to artificially soften them.

We only source 100% natural yarns. It is the quality and fineness of the fiber we use that makes our yarns so soft.
